Sakellarios used simple strokes and transparent layers of color to develop the two figures in the same hues used throughout the garden scene.   She made the figures pop forward by surrounding them with dark foliage of sap green and brown madder.  She then finished Times with Judy (16x20) by refining the sky holes in the foliage and making small adjustments to values where necessary.
